That's me too, which is why I didn't want to buy a board before I find out It isn't going to work.

Hope that presonus is workin' for ya... I used a 57 and an Audix d1 on the drummer in my bands' snare. And this is an Orange County kit, vented 30 PLY snare!! LOUD! I tried so hard to like the d1 more (because it costs more) but I just like the 57. Also, I put a little piece o' cardboard on one side...

That was a gnarly reply. OK...How do you monitor off the tape, without hitting the switch? You monitor from a group?

So when your tracking and the band says, " I think I messed up, let me hear that one part back" you have to 13 little switches so they can hear all the tracks back? And then whe they say" let's do it again" you have to hit them again?

Ahhh...that's what inline means....I was gonna say "someone should make a mixer that has a switch on it so you can monitor with the same channel." so would the fader control the level to tape, or would only the trim pot control that? (Assuming the signal to tape is from a direct out.) I friggin love...

On that note, anyone have a 32 channel for sale?

Another question from the "new to tape" guy: what is the best way to patch my mixer and tape machine together? I mean direct outs to tape, then how do I route back to the mixer? the lines in on each track? or will I need 8 stereo sub groups? Lets say I have a 16 channel board with 8 subs. Or should ...

Ya how cheap? And how would 16 tracks back from tape work? I mean, how would you wire it?
