Hey All.

Anyone know of a good tech in Chicago? I usually use Soren Wittrup but my contact info for him is out of date and I haven't been able to get a hold of him.

My console power supply is on the fritz and I need to get it back up as fast as possible.

Just on a side note I believe you have to have Digitranslator to export a OMF file from Pro Tools, and that of course doesn't come standard with Pro Tools.

So if you do end up going back to the studio to re export make sure they have it.

I actually saw that on IFC last year.

However I can't vouch for the quality of those cables + connectors... Anyone have experience with ADC TT cables? I got all my patch cables from Mr. Patchbay and can vouch that they are wonderful. Actually both of my repair techs have commented on how great the cables were, and they know far better ...

I thought Brian Wilson's personel studio was in his home in St. Charles, IL. But I guess it could have been sold and shipped to LA. I have a hard time believeing anything like that on ebay anymore.

I cheaped out and got a short tape for my machine. In all honesty the rewinding has never been a problem, assuming your machine is only a little out of wack you get through each step in 2 passes. I guess compared to the regular length tape you would probobly do less rewinding with a shorty than you ...
