Man I've been listening to this all day, thanks for posting it. From searching around some it seems that the frontman was in a pretty decently recognized band in the southern hemisphere (punky band) Apparently even won some over the top awards. Really diggin the bass and guitar interplay for the song idiot winter. I like the feel of the combined instruments in that song in particular.

The vocals in Report from the Left End seemed the best to me, very confident and "done with ease" sounding.

I don't know, I kind of liked the original better.

To me it sounded similar to a catchy little Tobin Sprout tune, and that is a good thing.

I like it quite a bit, very Built to Spill (back when they more creative and still good).
