The guy was very busy it was tough getting any info at all but here's is the little info he had. 1st off... there is no spec sheet available yet. 2nd off... His eyes lit up and he said, "This thing sounds just short of an Apog...

I always wonder why gear like that Apex isnt rack mountable. Maybe its just me, but I always think of that as a limitation. Yeah, they probably will make a companion 8 Channel DA and then have an optional rack to be able to mount both, to put in a rack... ..Just my thoughts.. That's exactly ...

Beware also of the SM Pro converter, that it has only unbalanced inputs on 1/4" jacks if that's a concern. If not, cool.... 8) .. This was the turnoff to me when I looked at it.(YMMV)..The Aphex streets at $399.00? Hope it sounds good. Hey....ok. I just took another look at the Aphex. Are those con...

I agree with lionaudio. It's like an electric guitar plugged into a Fender amp with the gain set right at the brink of distortion. When you lean into note, it drives a little, or a lot. When you play a complex voicing and it's driving too much, you pull back on your guitar volume or your picking to ...

An RE20 or an SM7 can sound wonderful if you put it through a good pre. I use an API but the RNC sounds good too. That and a little coaching on some mic technique and it should work great. You can even hand hold those 2 mic to good effect.

When you're sitting in a club hearing a guy bash his snare, you're not just hearing the heads, or the snares. The shell itself is a major c...

I've been playing 30 years(?!?!?!?!). I agree with boiling 100%. You get a more solid fundemental without all the crazy overtones, but it's still a clear sound. Boiling's good. If the bass is giving you mutiple tones on 1 note that's making the bass sound out of tune even when played solo, and you'r...

I like to record another pass an octave down. Make it loud and it sounds like Squeeze. Blend it in and the singer has big balls.
