Akai S3200XL in perfect cosmetic, working shape. Maxed out ram. SCSI zip drive and discs included. Features, specs: http://www.planet-groove.com/akai/s3200xl.html I'd like around $200-250. Might consider trading for a large diaphragm condenser microphone or an RNC. Make me an offer if you're interes...

thanks, leopold and beard of bees. based on your recommendations, i'll keep looking. and wait to work on these until i'm more familiar with how they work. its not what you generally think of as an Ampex..it was made in japan to ampex design and is much different from the 50's tube decks, late 60's 4...

have you looked into the electro harmonix deluxe memory man? i've been using one for about 3 years. the sound is much warmer than the dd5-6 and line 6 delays. and it looks like they're right around your price range. as far as noisy loop/delay effects chains, for a time i was running a dd-5, memory m...

the celeste sound and guitar notes on the 1st of every measure sound a little loud - they're overwhelming the singer a little. i believe what you're referring to is the rhodes track. agreed. in hindsight, we probably should have brought the vocals up a bit in the mix. Nice singing and nice song, th...

Music for fans of New Order, Radiohead, the Notwist
I'm new to tapeop, but thought I'd post some music my band recorded not long ago. I'd love some feedback. SCENIC SQUARE: The Grey EP This 5 song ep was recorded with a MOTU 828, DP4.12, and a Powerbook. Music by Scenic Square. Recording/production by Suit and Tie Guy. Mastering by Josh Bonati. 1. Co...
