My most recent thumbdrive was the OCZ ATV Turbo - the funky yellow one with stripes.
It seems to do pretty well for me.
The top of the line Corsair are supposed to be a little faster but cost a lot more.

I always set buffers at their highest for location recording, and never do critical over dubbing with laptop and firewire. I also will record on location at lower resolution. This was only a first test and dual channel flash drives seem to do better than 5200 RPM external USB2. I haven't done the re...

OK, I wasn't able to record 8 tracks because I need to build 2 more XLR to TRS cables. What I did was recorded 3 stereo tracks at 88.2/32 bit float. Just bought a 8GB OCZ dual channel stick because they are supposed to be significantly faster than ch...

Capturing Culture With a Microphone-
Kudos for including this article in Sept/Oct 2008 TapeOp. I have ordered 2 of the Bitone cds, one to donate to the local community radio station.
I wish I had more to offer them, but perhaps the radio station can raise a small amount of awareness.

I have an Epson cd printer as well as paper labels. My old Roxio 5 Premium stays installed only as a cd label printer and it allows me to choose different brands of labels, so I can shop the sales. For nice things I print directly on cd but for quickies and one offs the paper is faster and still loo...
