I use an m160 at about the drummer's right shoulder pointing at the snare. It always sounds good to me but maybe I should try moving it around...

I have an AT 4060 that I bought slightly used for around $750 that I love. Great tube mic for almost every vocalist I have recorded, and awesome out in front of the kit for the pillowy kick sound.

I have a ghost that is from 1997. I have owned it for about a year. It works great, and the few times I've used the pre's I have felt fine about it. The eq's get used lots during mixdown and I like 'em. Everything functions perfectly except the CRM pot which is sketchy.
