It was a whilte tolex "anniversary addition" straight cabinet. I think the guy who had it had a matching jcm 800 head with horizontal inputs. Im ...

MesaBoogie schematics...help!!!
I just purchased a mesa boogie .50 caliber head and I cant find schematics for it anywhere. The one I bought has the el 84's in it and not the 6l6's. Mine also does not have the graphic EQ. Every schematic i've come upon is for the 6l6version with the graphic eq(I think called the .50caliber ) help!

Les paul firebrand,sg-z..PICKUPS
So I need some suggestions on pickups.... I play a gibson sg-z(bridge pickup 500T) through a single channel 50watt marshall jcm 800 head into a marshall 4x12. I just bought a 1980 lespaul firebrand on ebay. The pickup in the bridgle of the paul(t-top(I think)) sounds really really noisy and abrasive...

Re: help !!! guitar amp feedback
Im not so much hearing the ringing in the tubes when i tap them with the pencil but i figure it cant hurt to replace them all. My amp has 3 12ax7lps in it now, im pretty into the sound so i was just going to replace those. Im going to try the ruby in the phase position because that was recommended t...

Re: help !!! guitar amp feedback
So I am really worried about screwing something up but my plan is:
sovetek 12ax7lps in the first and second position and a ruby 12ax7a in the third/phase position. That will work out fine right? by work out i mean make the amp work correctly.

Re: help !!! guitar amp feedback
zepplin4life referred to not moving the phase tube. Which one is that? Im going to do the tapping test asap. If one of them buzzes and i need a new tube do i have to worry about biasing or anything like that?

Re: help !!! guitar amp feedback
at no point did i say that. Im just sayin i noticed that when i turned the treble down it made the feedback go away. I was hopin someone might know if that was more of a hint that it had something do with my amp more than guitar or if lowing treble always made amps feedback less. Im not all that kno...
