Found the answer. Interfaces like the 882 and 888 do not daisy chain. They can connect to either the core or farm card. Additionally there is a Y cable from digi that allows 2 interfaces to be connected to one card. No dongles. Just transfer ownership forms, unless you are good with what's included ...

Hey guys, I'm finally getting set up in a new house! I don't understand how the old Digidesign Mix interfaces connect to each other and/or to farm cards. I want to run (at least) 24 channels of I/O to my Soundcraft Ghost. My question is how would multiple interfaces (3 or more) like the 888 or the 8...

If anybody has a use for an external 100MB zip drive, you can pretty much have it. There was a time when I once used it with my Boss BR-8 way back when. Works from your parallel port. Comes with around 10 discs, power, and parallel cable. Yours for shipping and bubble wrap. Dodgethelight at hotmail.

Yep, yep. Heard of the sale, but sadly, none are available locally. Did the typical online searches, with nothing to be found under $179 each. Just my luck. Darn.
