Nord Lead 2 MIDI help!

I wasnt really sure where to put this topic, but here it is anyways. I just recently picked up a Nord Lead 2 and I'm trying to figure out how to get a MIDI controller to change easier from patch to patch. It seems with the Nord Lead 2, you can only press up and down buttons to switch between your pa...

Vocals done with an SM58/panty hose around a coat hanger Guitars all direct into Mbox with RNC using Izotopes trash all EQ is EQ 3 all soft synths So this explains why these songs are such bad quality. It was fun to do - bu these recordings are about 1.5 years old now. Ive got new mics, new amps, re...

One thing that is NOT quicker is mixing or experimenting while on the grass. Doesnt mean its not fun though! I sat at my workstation with a highpass filter on my live bass takes last night looking for that "sweet spot" - and for some reason swooping around was more fun than usual I recommend hi pass...

Guess it really depends on the entirety of the signal chain - and ill probably get some slack from SOMEbody from this

but ya cant go wrong with the RNC in "really nice" mode

Deffinately sounds just little bit odd. Personally, I prefer to have the drums in mono mixed down to w stereo subpair - usually that works better for mastering as well... dont really know what hes talking about. I saw get as much info about the project from his point of view as you can - ie, ask to ...

I suppose a good idea would be to point out "good" AND "bad" recordings, just for reference right?

"We call these Myspace bands"

I just read the thread on home recordings no longer being "bad". Deffinately one of the most interesting threads I've read in a while. The most recent post is about "Myspace bands". We all love to hate these "groups", but some are much worse than others (well, everyone has theyre own opinions right?...

Battery 2 Phasing Issues

So everytime I use Battery as a plugin - it turns out that every so often one of the drums gets this odd "phasing" issue. Im not so sure why, and its usually only on either the kick or the snare (that I can notice anyways).

Anybody have any answers as to what might be causing this to happen?

Thanks a whole lot guys. Yeah I was assuming it was only the image of the files that were gone. Im trying easy recovery right now, and then onto Get Data Back whether it works or not. This is a pain in the ass, but I suppose it just means I should restart recording the song again - which sometimes i...

I can also use Battery as a DXi plugin when i add it using "FL STUDIO 5" as its own plugin.

I can then hear all the notes being triggered with the midi - however when i add it through FL STUDIO 5 sometimes the drums themselves get this weird flange thing going on. amy idea on whats causing that?

Battery 2 with Midi

Ok, so theres something odd going on here. I have a midi track that I wrote using reason. The midi track has been imported and Im sending it to Battery 2 in Pro tools (battery 2 is on its own Aux channel) I seem to only be able to trigger one drum at a time with this midi channel in Battery. Picture...

Yeah, not so much looking for a performance upgrade or anything. Its more for the fact that when windows pisses its pants I can just rip and reinstall the OS and forget about my files getting lost. I COULD use the external, but its not as reliable
