I just called Captial Bauer today and they sound great. The only reason I can't go with them now is that they don't currently have a license to cover Oregon. The guy in charge of the studio insurance department told me that they would likely expand to cover Oregon if they are contacted by more studi...

Markmeat, I've done the same thing with a solo before - right down to the octave and distortion. I'm not much of a guitar player so when I had some space to fill up in a song, I sang this silly solo and then went to town with the octave and dirt. Uh!

Yeah, if it's not too much trouble I'd be interested in finding out if they cover Oregon. If they do I'd contact them for a quote.

I currently have my studio equipment insured through Clarion and I agree that they don't come across as being very professional - their invoices are somewhat amateur looking and confusing. I've never had to file a claim so I can't comment on that part. I was just thinking of getting a quote from Mus...

Do you have a copy M-Powered 7.3 that you're trying to get rid of? If so, I'm looking to buy that. I have an M-Audio Lightbridge and I'd like to try out Pro Tools on my PC but the downloadble M-Powered demo doesn't support the Lightbridge. They only added support for it in version 7.3.

Thanks,

Ryan

Yes, I love that song and it's a really cool effect. I'm pretty sure that I remember a Pumpkins documentary in which Flood said that HE actually controlled that particular effect as the band played the song.... he didn't say what the effect actually was though - so this isn't much of a help, is it? ;)

I have a Spirit m12 mixer and I like the preamps but I haven't tried an Onyx yet. I was looking into getting the Onyx 1640 but when I found out that the direct outs don't have the EQ or inserts applied, I lost interest in buying one. I don't know if that's a factor for you or not but I figured I'd m...

Depending on the singer, I often find that rolling a BUNCH of low end and low mids off the double works just fine. I'll sometimes hi-pass at about 400 or 500hz and see what that does. I tend to think that panning them away from each other helps too but that's just me.
