Re: Prince's Super Half Time Show

+1. I'm not always the biggest fan of all his material, but he flat tore it up. Dude oozes talent. Good stuff!

Thanks for the tip on Lennon. Indeed they do have some shares available which are comparatively affordable but small (3-way split on a 16x16 room). And yes, super-nice people. Our drummer did some stuff there (in the new rooms) very recently and wasn't impressed by the soundproofing, but we're keepi...

Wanted: Band rehearsal space in Berkeley, SF, Oakland...

Hey TapeOp-ers! I seek your help as I look for a new rehearsal space for my band (shameless plug: http://www.badrep-sf.com) . A shared space would be great in Berkeley, Oakland, or San Francisco, but we might also be able to swing a full "share" (in that case, though it would have to be in 'da City)...

Re: Stereo Condensor Mic

I just picked up an NT4 a few months back, and have been very happy with it. One of it's uses has been rehearsal recordings of a hard rock band (2 gtr, bass, drums, vox), and all involved were very impressed with the NT4. HTH, Steve E. I was looking at the Rode NT4 and I hear it is a very good mic,

Also Avalon fun - plug a Strat into the High Z input, dial in some wacky high end, squash hard, then send to a 'verb or stereo delays. Very wanky, but a hoot!

I had a bit of trouble making mid-frequencies translate on other systems. But love their sound - they're my "living room" speakers now.

TASCAM TSR-8 (1/2" 8-tr) + board + tape (pref. SF Bay A

Hey TapeOpers (and yee haw for the return of these forums!), Unfortunately, my beloved Tascam TSR-8 has fallen victim to my move into the digital age, and can use a good home. This is a 1/2" 15ips reel-to-reel with DBX n/r. Excellent condition - original owner and it saw only home studio use. I'm se...
