The Vintech 1272 is a stereo unit right? So essentially its cheaper than the Germ!

Id try em before you buy em. Both use the St Ives tansformer, but I bet theres a bit of a difference between the two.

I am actually trying to figure out what 4 to 6 channel mixer to get. I need to get one for mixing a bunch of weird stuff I am doing... Theres no harm in tryin...but id start at a further distance just in case & then move the mic in acordingly.

I usually use it as a room mic. Once i used it behind the drummers chair & squashed it through a comp, sounded awesome, but it was only for a demo.

I got an RNC a few months ago,noticed straight away the the O/P control was 'looser' than the others! I email FMR (although i didnt buy it from them) & was given a reply that it was probably just the Plastic/Rubber Pot being loose followed by this speal that their quality control was second to none!...

The Rane Ms1b comes with the Burr Brown,its pretty cheap but not sure if its comparible to the sytek!
