The Vintech 1272 is a stereo unit right? So essentially its cheaper than the Germ!
Id try em before you buy em. Both use the St Ives tansformer, but I bet theres a bit of a difference between the two.

I got an RNC a few months ago,noticed straight away the the O/P control was 'looser' than the others! I email FMR (although i didnt buy it from them) & was given a reply that it was probably just the Plastic/Rubber Pot being loose followed by this speal that their quality control was second to none!...
