I started my project a few days ago on the 2001 standard Royer mod and I just finished. I'm pleased with the results, but I'm not finding that it's "amazingly" better than a stock 2001. Very subtle, but it seems to have a smoother/airier top end. I can also make very slight fuzz with high SPL source...
