I second the Alesis 3630 idea. I have 2 though I tend to use them for live sound rather than recording. Also see if you can find an old Lexicon mpx-100 on e-bay. it has a few good reverbs and other FX. It's basic but it's cost effective, and a assload less than an mpx-1... did I just date my self?

Now I havent ever ordered from BSW but they seem to have some awesome deals. I did call them once for a price quote and there C/S seemed pretty good. I think I might pick up that 5 pack today actualy now hat I have some damn $$$

ok so yesterday it was running like crap and doing pretty much the same thing as the one I had before I sent it back to motu. before I called it quits for the day I kinda pounded it on the top out of sheer pissed-offness.
