Ahh. . . I should have known that a build your own ribbon mic kit might be a liitle too good to be true. It does look like a nice deal, though.
Thanks, folks!

Bass Traps
I have just received an Auralex package containing 4 LENRD Bass traps. My room is about 11' x 12' with 8-9' ceilings. What I'm wondering is this: Will I be best served by placing them in each of the four UPPER corners, two in each FRONT UPPER corner or two in each FRONT corner, but in the middle of ...

Thanks for all the help everyone! Glad to know there are others dealing with the same questions I have. I solved my ground problem by wiring from pin 1 to the ground tab of the XLR in the mic. I also had trouble getting the right caps: 1/4w for the 1000pF. The only 10uF I could find for the power su...

Grounding issue with Tape Op Omnis
Built one last night - very easy to do - but it's humming when I touch the metal of the microphone - quiet, but definitely there. I wondered about just running a line from pin 1 to the "ground tab" of the XLR. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Chris
