Instead of relying so much on the mouse for editing ( which makes sense to many here ) ...the VS displays buttons for most of your editing, like many of our early DAWs . THe Akai Dr4a , Fostex 8 , VestaFire 8, Roland 880 , etc. all graced our studios = and lead us down a different road. BUT WAIT!!!...

I was just thinking about it. I read in Tape-Op that Neil Young's song 'Harvest' was done live to 2-track. Obviously, they could have done it multitrack, but for whatever reason they chose to do it live to 2-track. Also, reading the Bones Howe article, he said he did a Tom Waits album live to 2-trac...
