How do you handle a situation like this. I have my own production company and I subcontract mixing duties to engineers for a few reasons. I like to have another set of ears and I know more about arrangeing and producing than engineering. I want the right to be there for a mix as I know what i am loo...

Carrie underwood vocal chain
Hey all, does anyone know what they used on her cd? I am producing something similar and was wondering what was used ( pre amps mics etc.) on the vocals and whether or not is was mixed on a board or in the box.

tube swap for UA La 610
Has anyone had any experience in replacing the stock tubes on the La 610? Has it made a difference? and If so what models would you recommend? What were the differences?

Ua La 610 or great river me-1nv
Hey All I just got the ua la 610 and while I like it I am concerned about a few things. I like the fullness and depth but it seems to distort when pushed, especially on vocals.
