Kurzweils K2500 can read MIDI 1 & MIDI 0 files.
It can also read AKAI 1000 files, but can't read MPC files.
You might be able to convert these to krz, .K25 or .K26 files using
Awave Studio 9.0.
Kind regards,
ISPdeRuiter

Re: 2 pt. question: opinions on dbx 586 & colored mic pr
The 504X AD-conversion card. This is an option for the 586 preamp. When you buy second hand make sure it is built in; it is one of the strongest points of the 586. Can send 44.1/48 kHz sampling rates; can be dithered from 24 bit to 20 and 16 bit formats with two different styles of dither noise. Acc...

Re: 2 pt. question: opinions on dbx 586 & colored mic pr
The EQ. The EQ in the dbx 586 is nothing special; no vintage flavour here; just an unobtrusive troubleshooter with fixed shelving low and high (cut & boost, the mid frequency is sweepable with a narrow/wide Q-switch. Works especially well with cut settings & benefits slightly of the better tubes. Ca...

Re: 2 pt. question: opinions on dbx 586 & colored mic pr
I have not seen a dbx 586 preamp near a baboon in my personal experience so I can not comment on that. On the other hand if a healthy 240 V platevoltage means still starved tubeshit, then I guess that to those the 135 Watt Fender Twin reverb sounds like heaven. So we can dispell the myth that the db...

Re: 2 pt. question: opinions on dbx 586 & colored mic pr
Well, that clears up a mystery for me, thanks.
Sharing experience with somebody seems no waste of time to me.
I'll write the whole rap about the dbx 586 in a few different posts,
if THE SYSTEM allows it.
Will do that this evening; expect them in about 7 hours.
Kind regards,

Re: 2 pt. question: opinions on dbx 586 & colored mic pr
Sorry, I just spend two hours typing an answer only to find that I had an "invalid session" maybe because I was not logged in or so. This totally sucks mucho big time; three hours of work lost so far. I will try again tomorrow; I'm too depressed right now to start allover again. Why does't the cooki...

Re: best cheap Low-watt recording amp?
Gibson GA8T Discoverer is a fine one too, especially when you replace
the preamptube with an 12AT7 or 5751 of good quality and run it full
blast. Has a nice compressing 5Y3 rectifiertube, sustainnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeoooooooooowwwwwwwwwsshshshshshs!!!!

Absolutely, read the liner notes of the Uncle Meat album for instance. The Gibbon wrote:My two cents?....Frank Zappa did more to advance recording technology and musicality in 20th popular music than Brian Wilson.....sorry Brian fans......
I still miss him everyday.
