I have been using an Alesis HD24 hard disc recorder with great success since 2009. Its more than you are asking for with 24 tracks, but they can be had for little money these days. I recently bought a backup unit in excellent condition with an SKB 4U case for $150.00. I do location live recording e...

Mac or PC? Give MOTU a call and let them know what happened. They used to repair/replace stuff that was out of warranty for $75. I had them do this for me back in 2006 or 2007. Can't hurt. Even if you decide to go with something else, for $75 or so you will have a working Ultralite that you can sell...

Though it is NOT a physical all-in-one keyboard and engine, I cannot say enough great things about the Roland Keyboards of the '60s & '70s Expansion Board. I specifically bought an XP-30 for this exact use several years ago. Chris Garges Charlotte, NC Nice! Just checked it out. Didn't even realize ...

No worries!

I'm going to put a bunch of stuff, including these mics, on eBay today and tomorrow. I have a UM70 in mint condition for $1100 waiting for me to raise the funds.

If anyone wants these, hit me up. I'll post eBay links for everything that I am selling and start a new thread.

Every one of these mics has the 8449 shockmount. The two 4050 shockmounts are brand new, as I have barely even used these mics.

SOLD 2 x Audio Technica 4050, 4047 for sale

Hey buddies, Happy New Year! I have decided to downsize my mic locker for the first time in over a decade in an attempt to raise some funds for a vintage Microtech Gefell UM70 of my own. I have been borrowing one for the past 8 years, and I still have access to it, but I think that my needs these da...

Gotta chime in here... If you are on a Mac (which you are if you are using the Ensemble), the Metric Halo 2882 is a solid and time-tested FW interface. It is future-proof, as Metric Halo is dedicated to NOT making boxes that'll be obsolete. The 2d upgrade/MIO console and ability to expand and run +D...

There are some good Tron sounds available on that card. Not everything, but definitely decent for live work. You can grab a used Roland JV 1080 ...

Yeah Mike, that showed up in my email inbox yesterday, immediately after a buddy of mine talked to me about my need to pick something up. I emailed https://www.musicproinsurance.com/ yesterday with some questions and here is their response. Hi Jeff ? yes, our policy covers the equipment where ever i...

I have an old NS10m woofer which I made an XLR pigtail for. I run that signal into a preamp; I find the output is quite hot. It gives me the bottom I'm looking for without additional EQ. Additionally, I use a dynamic mic on the bass drum for attack/transient information. I just purchased a transfor...

Let's talk about studio insurance

TapeOp peeps... Need to talk instrument/gear insurance. Can anyone point me in the direction of a music instrument/gear-specific insurance company that will definitely insure equipment kept in a basement studio space? I know for certain that some instrument/gear-specific insurance companies won't co...
