Recording: Mic then to mic-pre, then to compressor then A to D converter. Inserting a mic pre is a rookie mistake. Get to know about signal path and the different kinds of levels: Line, Mic, Instrument, etc.

Deep Ellum has been systematically destroyed over the past decade, it's more or less back to where it was pre-1985. In '84 and '85 I ran the soundboard now and then at Theater Gallery, which if I'm not mistaken was the first live-music venue down there. (It was still all old and mostly empty wareho...

That being said, maybe YOU should start your own business Drew? Hmmm.... Maybe I should, maybe I just should do that.... 8) PS: I'm originally from Big D, and was in on the infancy of the Deep Ellum scene. I'd like to move back to Texas, either to Denton, FW or the Austin area. Just need to fiund s...

2006 combined family income, over $100K
2007, under $50K :(
And with this cost of living....
And the part of the country we live in, you GOTTA make minzo a hundred to have a basic middle-class standard of living.

I hear Fort Worth is nice...

Well, it's me, THE EVIL BLOGGER! Let's review: We had baby, I blogged about it, I was unexpectedly and crudely fired - it was the day we got home from the hospital with baby (and my wife's birthday), a war of words ensued on the blogo...

I mixed records on this board. Seriously. Kills a Mackie. In decent shape with the usual scratches or crackles here and there.
Sonically equivalent, and predecessor to the Ghost.

$750.00

Prefer local pickup, Boston area. :D

That is one of the best interviews I've read an a long while. Indeed. No Turtles stories, though. Cranked Happy Together on the highway the other day. Huge. My friend Mike Shelley interviewed him on WFMU: http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/24951 There WERE Turtles stories and more. Bones was graci...

I had this exact guitar -- color and everything -- in the late '80s. Great guitar, great quality. Better than the American ones of the same era. It's essentially a '64 Deluxe Telecaster reissue, without calling itself that. At the time they were $250, now they go for 3-times as much. I can vouch tha...
