Tim is a great guy that does excellent mastering work and is a pleasure doing business with.

I've heard this rig in person and it sounds great!

(Full disclosure: Tim mastered Chores' latest album)

sorry to hijack the thread, but.... What are folks' opinion on cable style to use between the gear and the patch bay? Multipair snakes or individual cables? The snakes keep the wiring between the gear and the patch bay neat, but you've got these tails hanging off of the end of the snake spread out b...

As far as the lead bender goes... I like having it. It's only 5 bucks from mouser and if you don't like it, it's not like you've invested a lot of money. I find it useful when you need to mount radial leaded components in pads designed for axial leads. If you're just getting started, I would highly ...

FS or Trade: MOTU 828 mkII - SOLD

I have a MOTU 828 mkII in perfect working condition. There is some light rack rash on the mounting ears, aside from that it's a beaut. Will trade for an Echo AudioFire 12.

Unit is in Portland, OR or I'll ship to you for cost + 10 bux.

Re: Those F*ckers

Like that the kidnaping and killing of an aid worker is not morally equal to shooting a wounded combatant. Can't you concede that and then still make your other points? This is an interesting statement from someone who identifies with a group (GOP/Conservatives) that bemoans the evils of moral rela...

Re: Advice on quitting smoking

First of all, it's true that you have to want to stop smoking. When you make that decision, do the following: 1) throw away all smoking paraphanelia: lighters, ash trays, cigarette cases, cigarette holders, butt cans, you name it. 2) wash ALL your clothes 3) stay away from smoky clubs, coffee houses...

Re: Stick a fork in Kerry--

Sheesh. Presidents can have an effect on the economy, but they don't control it. Economies are cyclical and too big for any one person to steer, although the Federal Reserve does have some control with interest rate setting. I'll let presidents slide on the economy when they stop taking responsibil...

Re: Stick a fork in Kerry--

my comment will seem a bit simpleminded after reading mjaui's rather lucid deconstruction of neo-conservatism. For me, voting for Kerry is easy: I ask myself if I am personally better off now or when Bush first took office. I can say without a doubt that I am not better off now. The decision ...

Juniper Grove and Maytag blue cheeses are killer

Very fresh unpasturised Feta with kalamata olives /droooool

Humboldt Fog is probablly my favorite though. Those living in Portland, OR can pick it up at New Seasons. It's pretty pricey though... good when you want to treat yourself.

I'd say they are closer to Wire than JD.

Really like their music... the lyrics? Total crap.
