I totally agree w/ frozen food - why wouldn't you want musicians to make money? Who cares if other people hear the band and like it? Isn't that good for the band and for the overall level of people's taste in music? Couldn't we all broaden our horizons? Haven't you ever heard something on an ad and ...

I'm running Sonar 5 PE, and really interested in the new features in the upgrade, but I've seen a good bit of talk about bugs and stuff on the cakewalk boards...
I'd love for those of you who've made the switch to keep us updated!

I think it's pretty awesome - a cool song, and I dig the psyche-out arrangement. Maybe most folks don't have the patience to make it through the whole thing... As for the resording, I'm listening on my laptop, but it sounds great here, pretty pro - I can hear everything, and the tones seem good. I u...

Yeah, sounds like you plugged into the wrong out, or maybe an in, on the G4. It should have a line out you can use. A stereo rca input (like on your home stereo) wants line level. You can feed it from a headphone jack, but it'll be degraded at best - was it really that pristine? And no mini-plug out...

I really like my Roland kc-550 for keys/samples,etc. It's clean, no color, louad as hell. I only use one, but they have a stereo link feature, so if you get 2 you can just connect them with one cable (I believe). But it doesn't make anything sound cooler; it just amplifies whatever's there already. ...

Yeah, back to the prunes and custard. Who gives a shit about tweedy's ego, anyway? He's a great songwriter. And he plays some killer guitar. And the current Wilco lineup is one of the best bands out there right now.

You're right, slim - even though I was out the money and had a broken mixer, Fedex wouldn't even tell me the status of the other guy's claim, let alone allow me to file one... So, an update, and a warning: It's true that Ebay and Paypal only protect you up to $200! This was news to me - maybe I'm an...

Yeah, incredible band I came to too late - I could've been loving them for so much longer! As it is, though, I've seen them 4 or 5 times, sometimes traveling long distances to do it, and always well worth it. Can't wait to hear the new record - is it out on CD yet? And on a side note, get "the sound...

I agree that finding a niche will be your best bet. On the other hand, since you aren't familiar with what's out there, I'd recommend checking out some of the best sample packs out there (BFD, Seyer, DKFH, etc) and seeing if you can improve on them.... Agreed here, too - there's a lot of great stuf...

I'll second the tube support and give a big no to solid state - to me there's no contest. And the fender deluxe is great as an inexpensive way to get into the tube game - they can be had used for as little as $300 and, though maybe not as impressive as the big classics (twins, ac30s, etc.), offers r...

SO: I took yor advice and tried to call the guy, and his number's disconnected! He has responded to email, though, insisting that he won't use escrow or anything. Am I better off filing a claim than sending him the mixer and hoping for the best? I think so... Ebay's claim system apparently can't get...
