Audioboffin, how do you respond to the Shure article referenced earlier (http://tinyurl.com/el9bh) which basically goes so far as to suggest that with modern circuitry, impedance matching can negatively affect your sound and it hasn't been a concern since 1804 or whatever? Thanks for the suggestions. I have no issue with running these guys straight in and addressing any gain deficiencies digitally. Still, determining input impedance would be a useful thing to know how to do, if it didn't require disassembly.
