Manipulating Vocals Rhythmically... programs?
I'm venturing into much more pop production lately... when listening to what is out there it sounds like the vocals on this stuff will be nearly perfect rhythmically and lined up on that grid with the beat- like auto-tune to correct pitch, is there a program (besides nudging in Logic and manually mo...

VocAlign - Anyone use?
Does anyone use this program? Are there any other options to doing the same thing in Logic or something that is free/cheaper?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Tragib- I use mostly a Peluso 2247 LE or an Audio Technica 4033. Sometimes I'll use an SM57 or an beta 58. Most of my mixing is done in Logic, and I don't have much in the way of plugs besides what Logic has. My work ranges from commercial music compositions to songwriting for artists and their albu...

Improving signal chain circa $2000... anyone?
Considering upgrading my Duet to Duet2, or Apogee Ensemble. Was also considering the RME UFX, Apollo (but not digging sound so much), and any other unit that will make my signal chain better. My current signal chain is: Mic ---> Chandler Germ or Great River ME-1NV ---> Distressor ---> Apogee Duet --...

Apollo?
In doing some research the UA Apollo looks like a pretty nice option especially when you are adding the UAD plugs. Has anyone had any first-hand use with both of these units?

Apogee Ensemble or...
Hi All, I'm currently using an Apogee Duet and considering moving to an Apogee Ensemble. I like the fact that this unit has the extra channels of conversion and that I'd be able to do drums.... but what other things is this unit typically used for that a Duet 2 can't do? What would be the benefit of...

PM1000 Price?
Hi - I have a PM1000 mixer I might be getting rid of. I'd say that about 8 of the 12 preamps that are left in the mixer work- and as far as the actual mixer itself goes, I think it has some issues. With that being said, I'm sure someone could make some $ off of it. I'm not really wanting to put the ...

Performing w/ a midi keyboard.
Hi all, I'm looking to trigger sound effects and regular sounds in a live performance setting. Do people do this with logic/reason live.. or are there more efficient programs? Thing is some of the sounds I might want to use are in Logic but I'm open to suggestions. For keyboard players who do this r...

VU meter
Dave- Is there a standard level in which your studio monitors should be set at? When you say record as close to 0, do you mean where the meter hits red or at the 0.0 mark? For instance, logic will hit 0 on it's meter and then go up further before it hits red. I think part of my problem is that when ...

Recording Levels & Recording Keyboards
Hi Everyone. I need a little crash course and brush up on recording levels and recording keyboards. Maybe there is something I'm not doing right.. it seems that I'm not getting as strong of a signal that I would like. First question - when recording an external source whether it be a microphone or k...

pro-ject
Well, I ended up going with the pro-ject debut iii. A little above the budget, but it has some positive reviews, is simple and does everything I need. I bought a Rolls phono preamp to go with it, and am now thinking about some powered speakers to mount on to the wall above it. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the recommendations. I've been hitting a few stores and get a different answer every time I walk in a new place. Just today: turntable lab here in LA recd a audio-technica pl-120 with a technics head and shure cartridge... $300 guitar center guy recd a stanton t.92 for around the same pri...

Turntables recommendations.
I'm looking for a turntable (and whatever preamp/cartridge I'll need) for the tune of about $200... I will not be using this turntable to DJ with. Just some listening and sampling that will go into an apogee duet and then into Logic. Anyone have any good combos to suggest? I'm also open to USB, but ...

Creating A Logic Template... arghhhhhh
I'm having a frustrating time getting my .ISO in Logic up and going. I have an older template I was using that had my rewire channels, my old version of BFD channels, my triton channels that allowed me to control sounds in the board, etc... preset sounds, etc etc. Right now, I simply want to merge a...
