Mics for Saxophone
Jack Kidney from the Numbers Band was here a few weeks ago recording with Frank Black and I recorded his tenor with a RCA BK5 into a Brent Avril 1272. That sounded colorful and robust.

The Massive Passive is a very useful piece of gear whether eq'ing the whole mix, sorting out a kick drum, or just using the filters and it's clean tube gain to "pump up the mix" a bit. It's not cheap but we do use it a bunch here at Studio G.

re: plug in softwre resources Applejack
Today the G5 at studio G refused to open Pro Tools, it would only display the dreaded DAE error -1. After trying all ye olde tricks to get Pro Tools to wake up, I downloaded a super cool program called APPLEJACK at http://applejack.sourceforge.net/ This is a shell script for cleaning up the mess lef...

That sounds good...
Alice has had problems finding this kind of place... for a short run of a thousand.
Trying to get her some contacts.
I'll pass this info along to her.
Thanks,
Tony

CD DUPLICATION
Hey Fellas,
Alice Lee's new cd is done! Joel and I played on it and he mixed it real good.
Now Alice wants to get about 500 to a thousand cd's pressed...
Any suggestions, information on places you've used, and like?

Re: Soundcraft GHOST
Hey fellas, I'd be delighted to get 2.5k. The board is sitting here in the house. The stand for it is totally pro, I think we paid 750$ for it. The wire loom that bolts on to it was handmade too. It keeps the cabling looking sweet. Yes, no more ads for the Ghost, Auditronics is in the house!!!! Than...

Soundcraft GHOST
Anyone interested in a 32 channel Ghost console?
This one was used to make a bunch of records, is in great shape, and comes with a nice steel and oak stand.
It has the meter bridge with a wire loom that attaches to the stand.
