FS: EHX White Finger Compressor Pedal
EHX White Finger Compressor Pedal, with original wood box and power adapter, $90 shipped in the continental US. Paypal preferred. The item is in great condition. I bought it new a few years ago and it only saw light recording duty and a couple of small shows out. Worst thing it ever had on it was my...

Free / open source resources for OS X
Hey! I have a Macbook on the way, and I was wondering about what free or open source tools and resources are out there. I have been using Reaper and Audacity on my older Windows PC. I understand that Reaper on Mac OS isn't quite where it is on the Windows platform. I've read a little bit about Ardou...

Program to convert 24 bit wave files to 16 bit wave files
Any out there, free or cheap? I'm putting samples on my MPC 1000, which only takes 16 bit waves, and most of the current sample libraries I've come across are 24 bit. So far I've just been converting them one by one in soundforge, but this seems needlessly time consuming. Thanks!

Thanks for all the replies! I just bought a Crown dc 300a on ebay, hopefully it will get here safely. I'll let you guys know how it works out as soon as it gets here, and I get it all hooked up. The only thing that's got me troubled is my cab--I still have no idea what impedance it is, and in the ot...

Thanks! I was reading this thread, http://messageboard.tapeop.com/viewtopic.php?t=36163&sid=bb5ae20ea26dad095a521e273324d78b Was this so complicated because he was using the amplifier model without mono bridge mode? would this have been easier with the crown dc 300 a? Does anyone have any suggestion...

power amp for bass-tell me if this is a bad idea
So after looking around for a good bass head, I started to wonder why I couldn't just use a bass DI/pre going into a power amp, and attach that to my cabinet. What's got me snagged is this: So many of the power amps I look at output through +/- terminals. How do I hook this up to the bass cabinet I ...
