Cable recommendations

I need to make up some patch cables and I was wondering if anyone has a good 2-3 conductor cable they can recommend; preferably something supple, that won't kink.

No it shouldn't; as long as you have the frequency bands you need, the sonic character of the eq matters not. So, go ahead and buy that $24 EQ pedal and use it as a sidechain EQ.

Sidechain eq quality

The quality of the EQ shouldn't matter in a sidechain application, should it? Since the EQ isn't actually part of the audio signal chain.

My recomend is to avoid cheap ribbons unless you have the tools, patience, and skill to re-tension the ribbon. It's challenging. just spend the extra hundred and pic up a mic from Cascade I've come to the same conclusion. I got a Fathead II last week nice. I need to squeeze one in to my budget soon...
