made the jump to the new Logic but still use Tracktion 2 (not T3) for ease/speed of use and the one-window interface.

Doing something similar, at least for me, tracking our newest recording to the ol' Teac 80-8, so w/ two guitars and one bass, drums are limited to 5 tracks. Maybe not coincidentally, getting the best initial drum tracking sounds I've ever gotten.

I swam from the same boat - made the jump from adat to the daw-world via Tracktion 2 which I loved, still love (also on a Mac). Even bought T3.
