Re: Right Ear/Left Ear
Maybe if I start listening to all my other mixes with L&R swapped, I'll find they sound much worse than before! :? maybe not worse, but different (unless aforementioned hi-freq loss is true); reminds me of two things- one, the trick of taking a mirror image of half a face and laying it adjacent to ...

I used to have a twin reissure, and I got rid of it. There are much better amps for recording. The twin has to get incredibly loud before it breaks up. I wouldn't even recommend that amp for gigs, unless you have a guitar with active pickups. I bought a little black Fender amp with one speaker (all...

I saw Deerhoof live for the first time yesterday after listening to their cd's for a while and was reminded of the way I felt the first time I heard the Pixies - here's something loose (yet tight), bizarre, and catchy and FUN and totally unlike anything else I'm hearing today. Kinda gave me hope se...

And LG, that was some funny shit; I spit my coffee all over the screen. Thanks brother. no worries. but if it's ruined, you can just replace it with that 30" apple cinema HD display. it'll make things look a billion times better, i guarantee it! all seriousness aside, it's common knowledge that the...

Bad sound isn't interesting, it's just bad. don't know what clubs you frequent in LA, but most of the ones i've had the opportunity to hear new music in have what you might call "bad" acoustics (the smell, echo, silverlake lounge, spaceland-some better than others, and i'll agree with you, the smel...

Saw your post on electrical.com messageboard and comments from others as well. Went to a show once at The Smell and checked out the acoustics of the live space, which aren't great, especially at the back of the room. i've only seen somewhat more experimental bands there, and in that context the spa...

Re: pickup fell off my bass
that's so weird. the same thing happened to me- only it was my beringer ultracurve pro and mackie vlz mixer- i was recording a demo a few days ago, and all of a sudden the signal just went away...i looked up, and they had completely fallen off my rack- in fact, they were nowhere to be seen! i was so...

Here's the only thing I have seen of his new stuff, except for a single song performed with the Radiohead lineup at a recent show. Is that a Novation K Station, to the back left? Or something similar? doubt it- no keys. looks vaguely roland-y with my lo-res goggles on. greenwood's playing a french ...
