I have the ESI Wanirack 192X,it has 4 yns(with pres)does 192 and is reasonably priced,,sounds very.very good,they are in the process of releasing an 8 in model now

I have a soundelux U97 which is considered one of their low end mikes retails about 500 bucks and I can tell you it is pretty awsome on just about anything I decide to use it on,recently used it to record a 3 piece horn section(with a Joe Meek pre) and it is brutal,fat,open and rude,,punchy awsome,,...

I recently got a hold of an sony C-74, {$1200.00 list piad 200.00)originaly I believe intended for motion picture work,,but this baby almost wont go wrong on any acoustic instrument,especially any with strings,,nekt I'm going to try it as a drum overhead havent had opportunity yet though
