I also repaired a bunch of stuff in the fron...

I hadn't gotten one on Friday yet (I emailed on Feb. 1, and mailed a check Feb. 7th) so I called and got a confirmation within an hour, so give them a ring maybe. They're nice.

Re: Smells like indie spirit
Indie has become a marketing term unfortunately. I flew on Northwest recently, and they had a music channel called "independent spirit." Re: DIY MIDI kit for Casio SK-1!
Pardon my total ignorance of midi, but with this kit would you be able to dump your samples directly into a computer? I guess I'm unclear as to what this mod allows you to do. Sounds potentially cool, though.

Re: Suggest me an All-In-One Digital Recorder unit

You need a SCSI cd burner with this one, but the VF-160 has it built-in, and then you can export .wavs. Or if you have a sound card with lightpipe capabilit...

Re: Lap Steel Choices
I've kind of always wanted to get one of those mini flying Vs and jacking up the action on it and using it as a lap steel. It might sound like ass but it would look cool.
As it is I just have one some dude on ebay made. It gets the job done when your job is just dickin' around.
