digi 002 making strange echo
I just picked up a Digi 002 today and when I finally got it up and running, I was trying to record some tracks and I keep hearing this bizarre echo, like this strange delay between the instrument and the monitors. Anyone know what is causing this?

horns and strings needed in Detroit
I'm producing an album and I'm looking for strings and horn players to cut some tracks. If you know of anyone please pass this on. I'm willing to pay if needed. The stuff we're working on sounds a bit like Jon Brion, Elliot Smith, and the Beatles.
PM me if you're interested.

Re: Frustration.... when mixes take too long
Mixing is by far my least favorite stage in the recording process. I get so defeated after I've spent a whole day mixing 2 songs only to think they're terrible the next day. I recently mixed an EP for a band that took about 15 hours all together (most off the clock) just to get it right. Well the ba...

That my first drum mic I ever owned and I recorded quite a few projects on it and ALWAYS hated it. No definition at all!

Re: Mixing / Recording...with a cold
my frequencies get all fucked up during sinus season. I can't hear anything and what I can hear is muffled. I need to move to Arizona where it's nice and dry!

I've learned a TON since I've started stopping by here. And I almost never make a gear purchase untill I've checked this site. The wealth of knowledge here is insane!!!

Re: Let It Be...Naked
I love the album the way it is, like a lot of you, it's what I grew up with. I am really excited though to hear this new version. It's always nice to hear something new from the Beatles.

old tape reels?
I recently bought a 1" reel to reel and it came with a bunch of old reels this guy said still work, but he wasn't sure what was good or not. Since I'm new to analog tape, do these have any value? I'd rather just get rid of them if I could and buy some new tapes.

Re: Need career advice from all of you that do this for a li
Thanks Dave, Engineers in Detroit make about $20/hr. from what I've seen so far. These are guys that work at a studio owned by other people of course. I've also entertained the idea of moving to someplace I could have more oppertunities, but I'm somewhat intimidated by the fact that so far I'm self ...
