Re: Your favorite recorded guitar part ever?

Too so many that were mentioned I would like to add that most anything by Chris Whitley, Steve Bruton, Elliot Sharp, Wayne Kramer, Nels Cline, Reeves Gabrels, Mick Ronson, the guy in Nebula (Eddie Glass, late of Fu Manchu), Mark Ribot, Johnny Marr, Richard Fortus, Will Sargent and Blixa Bargeld I fi...

Re: Cleaning a Mic capsule

I would consider a high-pressure steam cleaner. Than I would reject that option. Same with Orange Blast, and carborator cleaner. Re: Pro Tools free - does RAM effect latency?

Newer computers with newer, faster chips also typically address the above-list...

Re: studio foam: non-permament mounting.

I tried "industrial strength" double-stick tape and can give you one word of advice (a contraction, actually) about using it.

Ready?

DON'T!

It all fell off in about 20 minutes, in the middle of a pretty decent mix... :x

Re: Your top 5 favorite car albums or songs.

Any Dino, Jr., especially Where Ya Been, the Fog is OK, too, especially the 2nd one. Any Zep, especially Physical Graffiti, "Talk about love..." Most Who, but Quad is better for the long rides; "Going Mobile" rules. Any NIN, especially remixes - where else you gonna listen to "Head Like A Hole" in 5...

Re: New Metallica

Bob Thing: Like phat says: "This album is fucked up. Fucked up in such a fucked up cool way. " But I decided I like it depite and because of that fucked-upedness. Some history: I never cared too much for Metallica until the Black album, which didn't do a lot for me. I did like Load and ReLoad , thou...
