The worst is on movies, dialog seems to be less important these days than the SFX or soundtrack. I tr...

Home Playback System?
I hate to admit it, but my home stereo system has sucked for years. I have had various boom boxes, cheap all in one "systems" that die quickly or worse the 'Home Entertainment System". My wife usually picks this stuff out or buys it for me at X-mas(I will deny this post if she ever reads it). I have...

Re: Guitars: New, used, or vintage
Look for a early 70's Les Paul Deluxe, they can usually be scored for less than a grand. Make sure you can actually check out the guitar before you buy, some are magic and others are....well less than that. Never let cosmetics become important as it really has nothing to do with how the guitar plays...

Re: my rhythm tracks suck
this is pretty simple and works for me pretty well, find a groove for your Dr.REX player that gives you thegroove or feel that kind of works for ya. Load the loop onto the sequence page and copy it for a about 5 min or so. Then go to Redrum and "instead" of programming the thing, play the samples vi...

Re: Rigid fiberglass / Owens-Corning 703 or 705
If you contact Owens Corning, they will give you a list of vendors in your area that stock the item. I just went through all this, and it will save you some time to go directly to the source for the info.

Has anyone heard this product, I have a few 451's and would be interested in one of these, "they"say it sounds like a C12, I seriously have my doubts, but if anyone knows better, fill us in.

Suprisingly, he corrected himself. I just went to the link and it has an additional
comment from the seller. He say's GC misrepresented the product to him(I can't believe they would do such a thing)

On records like "Time Out Of Mind," Teatro," and "Wrecking Ball," there are plenty of rocking tunes where the drums are mixed far less than "up fro...
