Garges is the man here, although he may steer you towards Paiste. :)

I have an Istanbul ride that's drilled 2x with 1 rivet that I find complements my various Zildjians very well. . . dark, nice ping, crashes well with tasty decay.

Adam X upgrade (A5 vs A5x)

Hey guys, I'm about to buy some Adams for a mobile tracking/reference rig and notice that both the original A7/A5 as well as the new x series monitors are widely available. I'm probably going with the 5 just for ease of movement and the stereo link. Is the new x (extended frequency) upgrade worth th...

FS: Trident VFM 16x8x2 console in NC

Not using this like I used to, so I offer it up to the imaginative and the rock-capable. Features 16 channel strips, half of which have very tasty sweepable-mids eqs and all of which sound fantastic in the fuzziest, most explosive sense. A wonderful companion piece for modern pres headed to the digi...

FYI, the 60s/70s XP card will get you going on some pretty sweet organs, eps, etc. It's way worth the money.

I use it often as a scratchpad when I don't have my Cubase dongle handy. It rocks for what it is, which is free.

Steinberg MR816 experience--anyone?

Anyone using the MR816? I'm considering either the Steinberg box or the Fireface 800, which is obviously well regarded. I'm a Cubase user so the integration is a plus, if the sound quality is in the same league. Thanks!
