Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
a Slick tele, my third - I love the sound and playability and look, but damn this one is heavy a 50% steel guitar - cool with heavy distortion, I already had the requisite bar slide (on top, a bunch of other "slides" I use at lower right) the Fox pedal Killface (bass) and Kingdom (guitar) dirt pedal...

Re: I'm not a piano technician
I repaired a Rhodes 77 some 20 years ago.
Not the same, I know, but I mention because I was able to tune it with a Sabine tuner (after I did a lot of mechanical work on some of the tines and key arms and hammers and further work on some coils).
Would a modern tuner with a mic help with that?

I don't hear a whole lotta difference, as said

Re: The bottom of the snare
The only "mods" I did to my Pro,Jr. (tweed) was to change out the speaker (can't remember what, I think a better Jensen) and put a 12AU7 in the pre because I use pedals for dirt and like the clean sound I get without 'em. Also, there's some screw in the head frame that I recall is like 1/8" too long...

Re: The bottom of the snare
I reca roscoenyc as a long-time proponent of The Pro,Jr., using them ( a pair, I think?) on stage with Earle. I think his might have been goosed, as, I believe, were Jeff Beck's. Lovely amp, awesome pedal platform but good sounding on it's own when ya want that just-at-breakup sound, it's perhaps le...

I really can't recall, but you might have.digitaldrummer wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 2:54 pmdid I rack your PM1000? I can't remember anymore. I did so many back then (10-15+ years now)... I still have one that I kept and it's cool for certain things.
