robyn story

Hey LG, this wasn't the show at McCable's in which he stepped onto the stage down those little stairs and immediately picked up the bunch of carrots laying on the floor of the stage, placed them in front of his face and began one of his surreal off-the-cuff monologues about being in the bushes or so...

Thanks for the friendly reply.
Yes, I think that Smile-weaving-of-the-themes was what I was thinking as well---and bringing in Kokomo? Oh man, that's an evil genius thing to try!

Ok then Tape Op folks, sign me up for a With Me Tonight/Little Pad medley.

MJAU & MikeyC!

Hey Folks, I've got a BB cover that I did a little while back . It's a version of (mostly) With Me Tonight...but it sort of medley's into Little Pad for a bit (Mikey C's choice) and even for a couple of seconds into an instrumental bridge of Good Vibrations . Would this be uncool and encroaching on ...

How much money for local TV show music?

Hello, been a long while since I've been on the board... My question is: How much money would be reasonable to ask for providing music (composing and recording) for a local TV show? They are short little cues, and may include the theme song. This is a medium size city market (pop around here? 500,00...

yikes...such an obvious solution going to quantegy.com!
duh. sorry.
I guess I didn't even think they were in the game anymore and that someone else would be taking their niche'.
If I can keep getting the 456 from QUantegy..well, that's a good thing.
Thanks for the info and patience.

Re: gates - useful or a hinderance?

two wierd popular assumptions happened when CD's were young: 1)it sounds better just cuz it's on CD 2)if you put it on CD, you better make sure you get rid of the hiss Several much circulated Beatle bootlegs came out with a noticeable amount of gating on them to clean out the hiss and conform to rul...

Re: The Inexpensive Recording Articles for Tape OP Thread
