I'm asking because I don't know. I thought it was interesting that they recorded a lot of the basics for the albums in this house.AnalogElectric wrote: Do YOU know what it is? Or are you asking us cuz you don't know?

Oh, I should add that those Xantech relay switches I use are functionally the same as yanking the plug out of the wall <snip>But they have been running in that setup for 3.5 years and the subs haven't seemed to mind Is there a known safe way to do it in the long-run? I saw that those Xantechs are 8...

Power Strip to Turn on Active Monitors?
Would it be okay to use a power strip to to turn my active monitors? It's kind of hard to get to the back of them every time I want to turn them on. Thanks.

Re: Balanced Jack Unbalanced Plug
I don't have enough cable and I don't feel like going to Sam Ash to pick up bulk again. I wanna use the Coleman and vs880 today. You can change the Layla24 outputs from balanced to unbalanced in the control panel, at least on the Mac. if i need to convert to/from unbalanced TS i use an Ebtech "Hum E...

Balanced Jack Unbalanced Plug
I was gonna run some cables from my Echo Layla24. You can set the the layla outputs to balanced or unbalanced. Would it be okay to run an unbalanced cord to a "balanced" coleman lineswitcher then off to a VS8880 with an unalanced cord. Layla24 (unalanced out)--------------------------->Coleman Lines...

Re: Looking For A Recording Bass Amp/Eric Judy (+picks,8x10s
assuming your playing is all in order...i'd stay away from the AMPEG SVT/CL. Interesting. I've heard nothing but good things about the CL. Does anyone know when it came out? I'm looking at an SVT from the early 90s and a 70s 8x10 that some has. How much is the max you would pay for this? Remember I...

Looking For A Recording Bass Amp/Eric Judy
I just haven't been able to get consistently good bass sounds with what I have. Right now I have a Hartke 200 watt combo with an Ibanez SR800 bass on which I ripped out the active electronics and put in Seymour Duncans. I forget the exact name of the pickups right now, but they're quite heavy in the...

Re: $15. ReAmping and D.I.-ing
I thought there was a big difference between the quality in sound of DODs/Whirlwind and Radial/Countryman. Maybe I am misinformed.
I can get a Countryman for $80 I think. Is it worth it?

Don't you have to change the impedance to ignore thin sounds?

$15. ReAmping and D.I.-ing
So I have these Lo-Z to Hi-Z transformers. What would be the disadvantage of using one of these for reamping?
