We sent our RE-20 to Ben and he repaired, restored, and re-finished it in a day. We shipped it on Monday and had it back for a session that same Friday. On ADATs, DATs, and DA-88s there is an age issue at play. The rubber components involved with the tape path may be drying out. Even though all of the internal electronics may be perfect.
