Thanks for the tips, guys - I ended up popping the case and reseating all of the cables, which ended up working (for now!) I only send line-level/SPDIF signals into the 002 so it's essentially a dongle for PTLE for me, as well... Bought the 002 new in 2004 so it's not like I haven't used it thorough...

The Shure Auxpander looks cheap enough and claims to have 8 sends but after checking out the specs it actually has 4 stereo sends (with a balance/level knob instead of 2 level knobs for the two sends.) It'd be perfect if it was 8 mono ...

The minimum I need is a board with 8 channels where each channel has 8 sends controlled by a pot - direct outs/etc. won't work. It's not for regular mixing, but for controlling feedback paths thru my modular synth and effects.

You guys have any model numbers for the gear in question? I'm glad to hear there's something out there.
