Looks a lot nicer than my '93 Fender MIM reissue. Funny, I was just about to crow about the 90's Duo-Sonic reissues. Like he said, it's MIM. The original tuners suck bad, it's short scale, and I've since replaced the pickups, but I think it's a pretty nice guitar. You can certainly find one for way...

Hosting & Posting

Hey all. A while ago I came up with this post to document my solution to the frequently asked "How and where do I put my shjt? (hopefully for free)". It's been months since that post, so things have changed :D . Replies to that post, and some info on this thread are very helpful. the site Making you...

Fragments

Hello.
I put up a bunch of jam/experiments/noodles because I've hit a wall with them.
There are 2 posts called Fragments on my page, shoobedoobe.org

If there's anything there you'd like to add to, let me know, I'd love to work with someone.

Thanks for listening

I'm old school like that, too. Mentally, I have yet to associate "command" with the little apple/freeway interchange icon.
I always get that puppy dog cocked head-furled brow look when I say 'open apple' to people.

I used to travel with a partner for a living and we'd torture eachother by putting songs in the other's head. After we left the road we'd leave messages to continue the torture.

I've usually got You're the One That I Want-Olivia Newton John (Grease) going on (just the intro though) and The Joker-Steve Miller Band. I worked with a bipolar girl that would sing Jimmy Crack Corn CONSTANTLY. Sometimes upbeat, sometimes angry. I've heard it said (and it's worked for me) that Flee...

pretty nice photoset on TIME's site.

He was one of my best discoveries in my parents' record collections. Track down some vinyl of those early records, there's alot going on in those beats. And you just can't beat a square guitar.

RIP

You're all right. In my book at least. I use 'crappy' just because we need a name for the 'not perfect' and unique. It's too easy to get decent sounds these days, making most home recordings I hear very boring. John Parish, in his Tape Op interview, says he wants to mix pristine sounds with cranky s...

Working with crappy sounds V2.0

This thread veered off into an informative, but off-topic direction. It's a subject near to my heart, so I'd like to resurrect it. Referencing the OP's mention of Bjorn Yttling there was a thread a while back that gave the track list for Young Folks. My highlights are: 6 BONGO 7 BONGO ECHO 8 FOOT D...

Plenty of electronic musicians here, but probably not the genre specific information you're looking for. I recommend the Ableton Live forum . I did a quick search for 'French House' and found a bunch of things, maybe some relate. They're pretty cool over there, even if you don't use Live. Good luck....

sorry, but... all this sounds like a lot of fuss to add something that is not really necessary. necessary? I would just mix to a real tape machine or use a good tape simulator (neve portico, massey tapehead plug). $$ Let's not pretend that cassette is good... no pretending. cassette is great. 1/32" ...
