No totally following the chain here, but check your preferences and options in the Sony program, and make sure your signal routing is good. maybe you got a box checked that sends the signal around in circles...

I'm sure Wile E. Coyote will sell you a slightly used, giant Acme slingshot, with which you can shoot a Marshall Halfstack into a canyon while soloing. Be sure to use a wireless unit, otherwise you risk a surprise as you hit that laaaaaaaaast note. But, then again, what better way to end a killer so...

Typically, It's done with a Tip-Ring-Sleeve jack on the Input jack. The tip and Sleeve are wired as you would expect, and the 9V battery's negative side is wired to the Ring. now when a guitar cable is plugged in, the battery is put into the circuit, and when you unplug the guitar, the battery groun...

You could always convert them down to 44.1 to figure out your mix settings, then use those settings on the original files for the final render... that way you're saving time during the mix process, and then getting the benefit of the high rate for the final render, when you only really need it.

I had a similar prob a while back- I found a pair of original Minis in a mom and pop store , mounted into an original Mustang pickguard (which means that somebody removed a set of minis from a guitar, and destroyed a mustang pickguard trying to fit humbuckers into it...) for 20 bucks. I had an old G...

I own a Soundcraft 400, and I like it- but the more flexible unit of the two is the Ramsa. I would've loved the option between the two!

phase flipping an overhead can do interesting things, too. Some of them very damaging, sure- but some can really be good.

None up now, but DBX 386 is a fine preamp that often goes for under 300 on eBay. I use mine thru the s/pdif all day long.

The typically excellent results I get from a Peavey TMP are only lowered by the crappy onboard 24 volt phatom power that some of my mics just don't like, like my Alesis Groove Tubes AM-11. I use my patchbay to let me power phantom from my board, and just never ever push in the 24v button on the TMP.
