how do i set the system back a few years?

I've got some older files, from an older computer. I was using Cakewalk Pro Nine at the time and recorded several songs, and then i got my new PC, transferd all the old files onto it. and now about four months the later... some old songs won't play. THIS BETA VERSION HAS EXPIRED PLEASE DESTROY IT IN...

I've had to deal with this sort of thing (though not exactly the same situation) from time to time with my bandmate and it just came down to dropping the whole music thing for an evening and going out for some food and a conversation to sort things out. Of course my bandmate's also my best friend so...

The Guitar player iam currently working with, is a very precise and very good one. but, he seems to have problems with motavation... and is constantly making excuses why he's not recording... Now I understand that all of my recording equipment is at my house in my office and he doesnt have access to...

So i get a job in waste water, which is a demanding mistress...
i have very little time to relax or even think about recording.

What are some of your methods when you know you need to get the project done but just dont feel ya have the energy.

Waste water is a demanding mistress,,, ive worked over 70 hrs last week and have had very little time to record, mix, or just think about my music in a clear frame of mind. But i consider that it is mabey a good chance to wind down a little. we all need a chance to clear our heads... for instance iv...

for 420$ you can get much better. The lx4 are terrible. Do you really need surround? like what brand, do you have any you would recomend? Yes ive got the soundcard for that reason, so that i could mix my songs in surround sound. The speakers are the only thing i need to push my system to its limits...
