FS: DBX 163x comp - $20

Sorry, I would've compiled all my sales, but I only intended 1, then 2, and now three items, etc. This is similar to the de-esser comps that DBX makes in that it has a slider to adjust the compression, and is 1/2 rack unit wide. It is a full frequency band "over-easy(TM) compresser/limiter" and can ...

FS: Paradigm Atom speakers

Alright, I'm selling one more thing. As you can see, they are the Paradigm Atom speakers, let the bidding begin at $3000 .... just kidding. I'd like $50 for the pair, plus shipping. They wheigh around 5 or 6 lbs each I think, so not that bad. I'll also copy my Craigslist ad for these: ***** Due to m...

FS: JBL HLS810 speakers

These are home stereo speakers, not really monitors, but I'm sure you all have home stereos, too! $50 plus shipping for the pair - I can only move so much stuff to a new home in a short bed pickup. Liquidation time. I'll copy my Craigslist ad, but please note it is aimed at non-recording consumers. ...

Joliet, huh? I have family down the road in Ottawa. Funny place, that town is.

Sorry, don't need a cab. Heard good things about Bag End stuff though. Good luck.

the damn console lights up like the vegas strip. it's supposed to be a check for any blown LEDs (without waiting until you need to see a certain LED and it's not there). it's lights everything up in these crazy patterns. not sure how to activate it or anything, but it's aweful cool.

i bought a DBX 118, hurray...

I heard that these have similar guts to the 160VUs. I don't know how that could be, seeing the price difference - wouldn't everybody have caught on by now? Man, the bass guitar sounds better already. Just had to be excited, see what discussion about these things (and the 117, 119) I could stir up. H...

check out "vegas mode" as it was reffered to in front of me. it's a test to see if any LEDs are out, but Digi had fun with it (or isn't it Focusrite that makes it?).

I always explain that in just the same way a pan control moves a signal from left to right, so does compression and reverb move a signal forward and back in a mix. -Jeremy Like a scale with "reverb" marked on one side and "compression" marked on the other, and then right underneath "back" and "fron...

Well, I got turned down anyway. I was just trying - there's no harm in that unless you tell the TOMB about it apparently.

A guy from Rec Mag got back to quickly, and replied in a friendly manner, and politely declined.

End of post.

I Googled for about an hour yesterday and came up with nothing. And it would be nice if the article was up on their site tomorrow or the next day instead of spending $6 that I shouldn't spend and waiting a week, having the delivery guy leave the package at the front door of my building, and then hav...

Concerning the Dorsey Oktava mod...

Seems that Recording Mag has a section for scans of articles. There's not much in there, but at the top of the page it says something to the effect of: if you'd like to see anything in particular, email us and we'll do what we can. So I did. I asked them to post a scan of that infamous September 200...

Woooo PCM 41 !!!!! talk about fun . I rock the late 70s Multivox Analog Echo MMD-5, some wierd Japanese-made box. Mic and Instrument inputs, with two selectable pads for each, foot switches for reverb and delay, delay-only out, mix out, and 2 selectable pads for the output. hi-tek! It's got a lot of...

I've also noticed that moving exclamation mark in the name. Though not necesarily in the same "genre", you might enjoy these bands as well: A Silver Mount Zion. (sometimes "Mt." instead of "Mount") Explosions in the Sky Surface of Eceon (a little freer and spacier) Mono passing ont he good word, jim!

Oh, and just to be clear, it works 100% perfectly. I just stopped wanting to use the wah when I play, so it's been sitting around for a couple months.

It does have the classic Vox wah carrying bag - pleather, vinyl, or whatever it is.
