a simple modification on the oktava 319 or 219 is to take off the plastic "HF presence booster" held on by 4 screws in front of the capsule. did that and a case mod to my 219 and now its slightly more useful than yr average paperweight....heard aboot it on this here msg board! the HF response drops ...

you guys LOVE dat!
i use dat all the time for live recording,
but i certainly dont think its a good idea to think of DAT as a
'hard copy' the data's safer on yr hard drdive if you axe me...

i dont do dry voice very often either, but these guys want to keep the live voice take.. with the drummer 5 feet away.

i just bought and m380 here new: http://www.dbsound.com.au/special/beyer/beyer_mics.html it's the tg version. i have yet to recieve it, but if it's even close to the m380 i borrowed a while back, i'm stoked WOW! a NEW m380? neat the TG for 'tour group' right folx? does that mean they spray them mat...
