a simple modification on the oktava 319 or 219 is to take off the plastic "HF presence booster" held on by 4 screws in front of the capsule. did that and a case mod to my 219 and now its slightly more useful than yr average paperweight....heard aboot it on this here msg board! the HF response drops ...

yup

if you like the 160

and can use a bi-di mic

you'll like the 130.

its quite the similar.

prox efect is what you might expect from a fig8 pattern.
as in: lots.

i happen to love the shit out of my 160 and 130 :D

i use dat all the time for live recording,
but i certainly dont think its a good idea to think of DAT as a
'hard copy' the data's safer on yr hard drdive if you axe me... :P

i dont do dry voice very often either, but these guys want to keep the live voice take.. with the drummer 5 feet away. :shock:
enter the 'booth'
i used bungee and duct tape to keep the mattress up.
it sort of worked!
