Just food for thought. "Space" is getting cheaper every year. I ripped my entire CD collection (over 700) all to 16-44.1 AIFF. Why? So I don't want to re-rip it in 3 years. I'm using about 400 gigs on a 500 gig drive. It's backed up on another drive, and I'm about to back up to a 3rd. Am I crazy? Ma...

Just my 2 cents..... Gibson QC sucks. I've played TONS of LP's and only 2 of them really 'spoke' to me, and both of those were kind of a pain to keep up. Intonation/action seemed to drift more than any other guitars. When they were on, they sounded great. One of them was a 92. It was my fav. I agree...

It's your bounce source. Check it in the window that comes up when you hit "Bounce to Disk"

sounds like a small room too.
Also, when you "ride" on a cymbal, it sounds washy by nature.
Open hi-hats sound washy too.
Tighten up that hat, hit your drums harder in relation to your cymbals, go for the bell of the ride instead of the edge.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he probably doesn't even realise he is doing it. Musicians zone out pretty easily when they are "in the zone". I'll bet if you just make a silly face at him next time, he will get it. I used to play with a bass player that would stare at himself in a mirror the ENT...

You can't run a session off the internal drive. At least I can't :)
You need to run it from a firewire drive.

I have a Keeley Rat. Killer. I think it is modded to be true to the original, plus it has a toggle for some other sounds, like a really mean boost. :)

I strongly disagre with the tube pedal or Tubescreamer idea. I think those pedals sound best into a cranked tube amp. They sound like ass into a SS amp. You need a pedal that does it's thing all by itself. You could try something like the Fulltone OCD. Maybe an EMMA ReezaFRATzitz (sp?) Keeley modded...

I'd love to hear. I've been on the fence about picking up an Echoplex (or maybe a TTE). Convince me :)

Next time a girl in a bar screams in your ear, advise her that you are a musician and that she has just caused you serious harm. Therefore, in order to avoid a lawsuit and/or to preserve your valuable hearing, she needs to take you home and apply bilateral thigh pressure to your head for at least a...
