I wonder... is it possible to conduct an exorcism and erase or at least mitigate the influence all those Carpenters albums had, and continue to have?

I know, I know... painfully idealistic of me. But we gotta start somewhere...!

If you're okay, then all is well. I find the most consistent look of the insert banks on the tracks I work on is one EQ and one compressor, because I'm always struggling to carve and shape and puzzle-piece-fit everything together into a big ol' happy Mother Hubbard's shoe. Seems like-- to do a littl...

... cause i EQ just about every track... Of course you do, everyone does, nearly always. It's like saying "I breathe just about every day." The premise of this thread is that there occasionally are pretty unusual cases where this isn't necessary, but the whole craft of mixing is controlling and sha...

Troy Night Out video from May

Sherwood Forest comes to mind?

By the way, it all ended very well, in spite of my trepidations... proving that in spite of your trepidations, things can end well, at least once.

the astonishing Pete LaBonne at Caffe Lena

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e301/joelpatterson/Pete.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eAzdnpF67E Pete LaBonne is the one truly mythical figure of the Capital District music scene. He makes everyone else look mundane and predictable by comparison. His edgy, wildman act prances along several ...

Geez, I wish I did... it was a whole mass jumble on stage, it could have been anything... up close the guitar is beaten, finish worn off and everything... which makes me think here's a guy who is not obsessed with appearances or trivia, he gets the sound he wants and that's it.

Timelss gloriousness of yet another "Suzy Q"

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e301/joelpatterson/R-Notes.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80ViZ0cmN-w I loved the lighting that was set up in the back corner of this bar: two overhead fixtures with a variety of high intensity LEDs, and one was set to "sparkle" and the other went back and fort...

... and $250,000 (if I remember correctly) liability... Ouch! I think that reading this lengthy post in a tiny font just hurt my eyesight, aside from offending my sensibilities and damaging my schedule for today. I might be willing to settle... except that the pain and suffering may well render me ...

WELL RIGHT THE FUCK ON! I do certainly feel myself that Chandler is some kind of mystical shaman in his own humble way. The guy who does sound at Caffe Lena-- whose daily life is listening to bands and singers-- told me once that Chandler is the one guy who he will go out of his way to travel to and...

Excellent guess! I think in "theory" the OS can handle any size, but in actual practice you're better off sticking to drives no larger than 250 gigs.
