Just do it. Bleed can be your friend. Don't worry about it.
If you need to eliminate it completely use a Shure SM7 or any dynamic mic that sounds good.

Guitar is in different tuning. That's most of the tone. I put a ribbon mic 2' away from a guy who was fooling around with Barton Hollow and we were amazed how chewy and detailed it was.

Yes, micing a guitar amp into another w/ a hi-Z Unidyne was the Holy Grail.

Last weekend I used a transformerless Shure 565 on snare bottom, got exactly what I wanted. "Come... do not be afraid of my power."

no shame in the purchase of hi-Z mics.
PRS used to plug a mic into a guitar amp that was positioned on another guitar amp. You need a hi-Z mic to do that.

If I am correct in assuming you did the whole concerto, did you need to "pump up" the 2nd movement? Are you "allowed" to do that?

on my "good" speakers with my less-than-audiophile ears I hear no phase issues. Very listenable, indeed. Ya did it.

Consider the Sennheiser 441, not a LCD, but it is bright, not harsh, loves SPL. If you can stick right up to the bell of a sax you should be able to scream into it. I have not used it on overheads, but have seen old videos using it. I do not consider it a supercardioid as marketed, but a tight cardi...

I hear notable differences in power amps more so than spkr cables.
And it may be such that an older power amp may have shifted in its damping factor. Try renting or borrowing a pro power amp and A/B with your "decent receiver".
Sorry if I'm casting gloom ($) on this.

This is not new. But it's getting out of hand. Your paypal payment is instantaneous but the transaction is not. Paypal takes your money along with $200 million of all transactions received that day (I'm just pulling a number out of my ass,but you get the idea) and puts it into an overnight CD or a 3...
