I was so happy yesturday! My wife called me while I was at work to tell me my new Tape Op came in. I've missed the last two issues because of address problems but now it is all fixed and my life is at peace again. I also got three new books in the mail yesturday; "4 Way Coordination", "Syncopation", and the "Guitar Grimoire - Scales & Modes". I only made it through the letters section in Tape Op, and the first couple excersices in my drum books. So much to keep me busy now!
I live a few miles from the studio and I don't have it!! Whaddupwithat?
I know, it's probably printed in Moose Jaw, Canda or something.
Hey, the mag isn't printed at Jackpot! It's printed and shipped out of Little Rock Arkansas. I shudder to imagine what 42,000 magazines looks like when delivered, let alone the idea that I'd have to pack and mail them all. Hell, it was hard when I did 2500 issues!

Holy Moly! Larry spoke to me!
Larry, I first read your magazine at a studio called Electric Wilburland in the dead of winter in Newfield, New York. There was a Mitch Easter interview and I learned the the snare was overdubbed on Radio Free Europe. (exactly the kind of thing that gets me all excited and makes gf's weep with boredom.) Your coverage of the NW scene was a huge deciding factor in my decision to move to Portland. If you ever need a Yamaha CP80 for a session, just ask! (With or w/out the player!)

John Scrip - MASSIVE Mastering
Arrived 100 miles from nowhere out on the desert sand in New Mexico. (Bonus points if you know where that's from.) I'm trying real hard not to read it all in one night. There's an announcement of the 2nd Tape Op book in it. As a relatively new TapeOpper, I hope there's a deal on both books. Hint, hint, Larry, nudge, nudge, wink, wink, you know what I mean, Mr. Op.

The first Tape Op book is published by Feral House, therefore we do not have copies of it on hand, or offer it for sale, or offer discounts. Make sense?
